I am so sorry to learn of Lane’s passing. I worked with him for over 15 years while at Legacy and again at NYU where he graciously came up to guest lecture. On behalf of all of us who benefitted from his wise counsel, please accept our heartfelt condolences. He will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry to learn of Lane's passing. I worked for Lane when he was Senator Rockefeller's chief of staff. He was strong, ethical, caring -- a great leader, a remarkable public servant. Government and politics would be so much better with more Lane Baileys in the world. My deepest sympathies to his family and those friends closest to Lane.

Lane was so excited to hold his nephew, Jared, for the first time.
I remember him "saving" Janelle and me because we got stuck on the top of a rock pile!
Babies have an innate ability to see the goodness of a person, and this was proven when my son first met Lane. I still remember how quickly Lane enthralled him and won him over.
Lane was a very special person -- full of a rare and boisterous vitality of body and spirit that made him shine. It came through in everything he did -- his robust laugh, sense of humor, caring nature, deep love for his family and friends -- and that shining light of his spirit is unstoppable. We lost a treasure, and he will be missed but always remembered for everything that made him stand out.
