Rhoda B. Carter's Obituary
Rhoda B. Carter, 81, of Stevensburg, VA passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Poet’s Walk Warrenton surrounded by her family. She was born October 5, 1943 to the late Lawrence L. and Virginia Young Brown.
Rhoda worked in management for C&P Telephone Company, now known as Verizon, until her early retirement. This led her to be able to enjoy her true passion of caring for animals. Rhoda enjoyed her family farm where she was able to love and care for her horses, dogs, cats, goats, and foxes. Her main role was to care for the goats who quickly realized she was reckon to be messed with. She cared for a family of baby foxes until their adulthood which started her collection of fox memorabilia. The love she showed for all animals was one of a kind.
Rhoda is survived by her daughter, Tamara Lee and her husband, Bruce; sister-in-law, Carter Hipp of Atlanta, GA; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Rhoda is preceded in death by her husband, David B. Carter.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
