Rev. L.D. Savage, 81, of Castleton passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020. He was born March 16, 1939 in Prince George County to the late Bonnie and Lottie Tyson Savage. Rev. Savage was in ministry for 65 years. He earned his Bachel Read Obituary

He was a great man of God and such a wonderful human being. “Thank you” brother & sister Savage for the encouragement and fellowship through the years!
We are sorry for your loss. You all are in our prayers. He has made it home in the land of forever peace.
We remember seeing the Savages in a meeting in Lake Placid, Florida. Wonderful Godly people. He will be missed. Now we all must carry on the true Holy Gospel way.

Although we had heard Bro Savage on tapes and CDs for years, we finally had the privilege of meeting him in person in 2008 and each time we saw him afterward our respect and admiration only increased.
His preaching has always been pointed and anointed by the Holy Ghost. He believed, he lived and he preached Holiness as God's immutable standard of living if you want to go to Heaven. His message on "The Second Man" (from the Minister's Conference years ago) has served as my personal guide for the role in which the Lord has placed me and I listen to that sermon frequently so as to keep the instruction fresh in my mind and heart.
We know beyond doubt Bro Savage is in the presence of the Lord but we do miss him sorely. His friendship was a treasure beyond what our words can say.
Sister Savage, the family, and Massanova Church are in our hearts and prayers as God leads them through this time and the days ahead.

I remember going through a particularly rough time as a young preacher. I was listening to a cassette tape of Bro. Savage (Obviously, “cassette tape” tells you it’s been a LONG time since I was a “young” preacher) and he was telling stories about his father. I sat there on the living room couch with hot tears running down my cheeks and felt like The LORD really used Bro. Savage to encourage me at that time. What a mighty preacher of the gospel! Happy for him! Praying for the family!
All my love to you!

Rev LD Savage was a real statesman and he will truly be missed!!! When he got to the glory world I could hear him saying I’m feeling better about this.
