Rena Stanley Kestner's Obituary
Rena Kestner, 94, of Culpeper died Monday, April 6, 2009 at Our Father’s House Christian Home. She was born July 12, 1914 in Dickenson County, VA to the late Marcus D. and Ollie Stanley.
Mrs. Kestner was very active in church and local activities. She taught elementary and special education for nearly 40 years in South West, VA and in later years retiring from Prince William County Schools.
She is survived by her children, James Kestner and his wife, Anna of Bealeton, Marcie Romagnoli and her husband, Julius of Rixeyville, two brothers, Atler Stanley and Alton Stanley, one sister, Beulah “Boots” Lambert, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Russell Kestner, one brother, Oakley Stanley and one sister, Cleta Stanley.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 9, 2009, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Kevin Walton officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
