Rebecca "Becky" J. Wharton's Obituary
Rebecca “Becky” J. Wharton, 86, of Culpeper passed Friday, August 13, 2021 at her residence. She was born February 26, 1935 in Rappahannock County, Virginia to the late Robert Ray Jenkins and Ollie Rebecca Jenkins.
Rebecca was a graduate of Rappahannock County High School. She was employed with Southern Sewing for seven years and Aileen for twenty-five years.
Rebecca is survived by her daughter Anna Jenkins (David); grandchildren, Russell Jenkins, Joe Jenkins (Shannon), Nicole Williams ( Ben) and Michael Yelken; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Autumn, Hailey, Holden, Natalie, Hunter, Beau and Weston; son-in-law, Michael Yelken, Sr. and a host of nieces, nephews, additional family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Frank Wharton; daughter Margaret Yelken; brother, Herman “Brother” Jenkins; sisters, Lucy Martin and Audrey Jenkins.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Bruce Fincham officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
Active pallbearers will be Michael Yelken, II, Russell Jenkins, Joe Jenkins, Dustin Jenkins, Phil Estes, Ben Williams, Travis Whitt and Robbie Jenkins. Honorary pallbearer will be Will Brill.
