Raymond Frank MacDuff's Obituary
Raymond F. MacDuff, 70, of Mineral, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 with his family by his side.
He served in the Navy for several years and was a proud Vietnam veteran. After the Navy, Raymond spent almost 30 years working at the Alexandria Center for Naval Analyses. He loved to bowl, build things, and was always working on the pool in their backyard. Raymond especially loved the outdoors - watching the deer and other wildlife, caring for and naming stray cats that always ended up staying, and playing with his beloved beagles.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Susan MacDuff; his son, Christopher MacDuff, and his wife, Sarah; his daughter, Nicole MacDuff-Young and her husband, Lance; three grandchildren that he adored, Seth and his wife, Becky, Tyler and Paige; his beloved cat, Bobbi, that he referred to as “his girl”; his siblings, Earl MacDuff Jr, and his wife, Barb, Duke MacDuff, Billy MacDuff and his wife, Heidi, Earlene Doyle, Paul MacDuff, and Anna Marchese, and her husband, Wade; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving extended family and friends.
His family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg; where a memorial service will begin at 7:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to the American Diabetes Foundation at donate.diabetes.org or the Fredericksburg SPCA at fburgspca.org/donate.
