Ray J. Walker's Obituary
Ray J. Walker, 73, of Culpeper, died Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Novant Health Systems UVA Culpeper Hospital. He was born May 2, 1948 in Viewtown to the late Landon and Mary Walker.
Ray was a God fearing man, and member of First Century Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran who served in Vietnam. Ray loved spending time with his family and enjoyed fishing. He was truly humble and always willing to do anything for anyone. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome. He was a great father and papa and will be missed by so many.
Ray is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lillian K. Jacobs Walker; two children, Brian Walker (Melissa) and Carisa Walker; two grandchildren, Kody Walker (Keighley) and Kaleb Walker (Dominique); one great granddaughter, Sage Walker; and nine siblings, Harold Walker (Reenie), Landon Walker (Nancy), Clint Walker (Teresa), Joseph Walker (Sherrian), Kenneth Eline, Donna Sheffield (David), Connie Payne (Paul), Brenda Patton (Greg), and Cathy Embrey; sister-in-law, Elly Cooper; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Pastor Lee Brown officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Inurnment will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery. Honors will be provided by VFW Post 2524 and the US Army.
