Ray Elmo Hawkins' Obituary
Ray Elmo Hawkins, 92 of Culpeper died Sunday August 28, 2016 at UVA Culpeper Hospital. He was born December 26, 1923 in Culpeper to the late William Robert Hawkins Sr. and Rosa Mae Printz Hawkins.
He is survived by six children, Jack Elmo Hawkins and his wife, Bonnie of Rixeyville; James Hawkins of Culpeper; Betty Mills and her husband, Bubba of Castleton; Brenda Woodward and her husband, Randolph of Rixeyville; Bernard Hawkins and his wife, Frances of Culpeper; and John Hawkins and his wife, Linda of Brandy Station.
Additional survivors include 10 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Louise Stanley Hawkins; one son, Jerry Hawkins; and four siblings, Edna Yancey, Robert Hawkins, Prince Hawkins and Roberta Collier.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper with Rev. Lee Brown officiating.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Jeffersonton, VA.
Pallbearers will be Jack Hawkins, Sonny Deal, Donnie Hawkins, Carl Lane, Dale Yancey and Benji Woodward. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Smith, Eric Lindsey and Stephen Mills.
Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is serving the family.
