Randy Glen Perkins' Obituary
Randy Glen Perkins, 39, of Fredericksburg, passed away on September 28, 2025, at Mary Washington Hospital, the same hospital where he was born on May 7, 1986.
Randy had a zest for life and a variety of passions. He enjoyed gaming with his dad, sister, and brother-in-law, cheering on motocross in Texas with his dad, and spending countless hours working on his Honda Civics. He was a proud gun enthusiast, silver collector, and RC car builder who also loved playing poker. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his best friend and “brother from another mother,” Cullen Foley.
Despite facing ongoing health challenges, Randy showed incredible strength, curiosity, and determination. He immersed himself in learning about kidney disease and the care required after transplant, ensuring he did everything possible to maintain his health. His mother was faithfully by his side at every medical appointment, a testament to their unbreakable bond. Randy’s caring nature also extended to his family, as he took on the role of assisting his elderly grandparents in their daily lives with patience and love.
Randy is survived by his father, Steve Perkins (Lisa); his mother, Robin Houchin (Steve); his maternal grandparents, Charles and Sumiko Wilson; his sister, Haley Mitchell (Kameron); his brother, Samuel Houchin (Kenzie); and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Marjorie Perkins.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22407. Friends and family are warmly invited to attend and honor his memory.
