Randy Lee James' Obituary
Randy Lee James, 41, of Spotsylvania County passed away Friday, May 6, 2011 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Randy graduated from Culpeper High School in 1988. He then attended Virginia Commonwealth University, graduating in 1992 with a B.A. in Art History. Randy worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation for 18 years as a Bridge Safety Supervisor.
He was an avid VCU basketball and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Randy was passionate about gaming, civil war relics, enjoyed collecting sports cards, and photography.
Randy was an awesome father and son! Even in death, he gave himself unconditionally as an organ donor.
Randy is survived by his wife Tina; a son, Tristan Lee James of Madison; a stepson, Chris Ragen of Spotsylvania; his father, William Lee James and his wife, Sue of Richardsville; his mother, Nancy Hoffman and her husband, Lucian of Culpeper; a brother, Tony and his wife, Rebekah of Culpeper, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Randy’s family will receive friends Wednesday, May 11, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 11:00 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with the Rev. Stanley H. Mulford, III officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery, Madison, VA.
In lieu of flowers, Randy’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to LifeNet Health Foundation, 1864 Concert Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23453.
