Randall Minkin's Obituary
Randall “Randy” Minkin, 58, of Fredericksburg passed away Friday, May 30, 2008 at his home after his fight with cancer.
Randy was born in Ironwood, Michigan on May 24, 1950 and lived there until he moved to Virginia in 1979.
He was employed by Fairfax County Schools for 26 years. He was a parishioner of Christ Episcopal Church in Spotsylvania where he was a devoted member of the Episcopal Men’s group. His love for friendship and cooking was shared at many meetings, church and community events.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kathleen W. Minkin; his three children, Kelly Briana Minkin, Stephen Robert Minkin and Ashley Blaire Minkin. He is also survived by his mother, Helen Finko Minkin; his brother, Rick Minkin and his sister, Rita Kapugia; his mother-in-law, Mary T. Wood and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert B. Minkin and his father-in-law, Stephen S. Wood.
Family will receive friends Monday, June 2, 2008 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 3:00 pm at Christ Episcopal Church with the Rev. Jeffrey Packard officiating.
