Ralph Curtis Harris' Obituary
Ralph Curtis Harris, 84, of Stafford, Virginia, born November 20, 1939, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024 of natural causes.
He was an avid lover of music, especially bluegrass. He was self-taught to play many instruments and collected them as well. He was a truck driver most of his life driving for J.J, Taylor of Alexandria, VA.
Ralph loved his music but above all things he loved his family the most. He is survived by three daughters, Anita Douthitt and husband Bruce of Summerville, SC, Beckie Sullivan and husband Stanley of Council, VA, and Dee Morgan and husband Jonathan of Fredericksburg, VA; son, Robert Harris of Stafford, VA; two grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Allison Morgan and Jordan Sullivan; four sisters, Jody Montano, Christine Jenkins, Velma Reed, and Connie Harris; two brothers, Ricky Harris and David Harris; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, who he missed dearly, Janice Gay Harris; his parents, Ed and Margaret Harris; two sisters, Dana Shortridge and Vivian Moten; and three brothers, Larry Harris, Jimmy Harris and Gerald Harris.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2024 at Oak Hill Cemetery, 1902 Plank Road, Fredericksburg, VA.
