Ralph Lee Edwards' Obituary
Ralph Lee Edwards, 88, a life-long resident of Stafford County died on February 7, 2013. He was a hard-working family man, loved the outdoors, and he always had a firm handshake, warm smile and kind words for those he met. He was a Marine Corp veteran of WWII having fought in the Battle of Iwo Jima. He was a former City of Fredericksburg fireman and retired from the National Park Service. Faithfully serving his God, Jehovah, was very important to him and he was an avid Bible student and loved sharing what he learned with others as often as he could.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 10 years, Thelma Edwards; his children, Fleda Lewis and her husband, Wayne; Dean Edwards and his wife, Deborah; and Dale White and her husband, William; grandchildren, Andrew Lewis and wife, Theresa; David Lewis and wife, Elaina; Ursula Edwards and Shana Edwards; his sisters, Agnes Skinner and Dorothy Monroe; stepchildren, Anita Lewis, Shanty Domenech and husband, David; Larry Lewis and his son and daughter, Jeremy and Rebecca. He is predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Kathryn Edwards, his grandson, Steven Lewis, his sister, Maude Meade, his half sister Virginia Stevens, and half brother, Charles P. Edwards.
Friends may pay respects to the family on Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Found & Son Funeral Chapels located at 10719 Courthouse Rd., Fredericksburg, Va. 22407.
A memorial service, with William Steward officiating, will be held at 2:00 p.m on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 939 Ramoth Church Road, Fredericksburg, Va. 22406.
