Ralph "Earl" Dwyer III's Obituary
Ralph “Earl” Dwyer, III, 51, of Elkwood, died Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Novant Health Systems UVA Culpeper Hospital. He was born February 12, 1973, in Falls Church, Virginia, to Ralph Earl and Patricia Susan (Spruill) Dwyer, II.
Earl loved to cook and worked at several different restaurants over the years. He enjoyed playing his guitar and writing songs. Earl had a unique sense of humor, loved to tell jokes, and found new friends wherever he went. His most recent job, which he enjoyed very much, was as a security guard at Culpeper Hospital. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him and forever in our hearts.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Dylan Dwyer of North Carolina; two sisters, Teresa Kelley and Robin Dwyer-Maurice (C.J.) of Virginia; his six nieces and nephews, Carrie Kelley-Reich (Tim), Heather Lindsay Snyder (Adam), and Shaylyn Lindsay of Virginia, Patrick Kelley of Ohio, and Emma and Colin Maurice of Virginia; four great-nieces and great-nephews, Benjamin, Kira, and Liam Kelley of Ohio, and Madison Kelley of Virginia; his aunt, Margaret Spruill of Virginia; and cousins Jack Dwyer of Virginia and Kay Stover (Chuck) of Florida.
The family is deeply grateful to the staff and coworkers at Culpeper Hospital for the unwavering kindness, compassion, and friendship they bestowed on Earl. Their support has been a source of comfort and strength for the family, especially during his cancer treatment.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Gordon Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
