Rachel Ann Prevatt's Obituary
PREVATT, RACHEL CAMPBELL died Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Mountain View Nursing Home in Madison County, Virginia.
She was born September 7, 1933, to Scott Campbell and Myrtle Mae Barton Campbell, of Cordova, Alabama. She lived most of her adult life in Alexandria and Madison County, Virginia.
She is survived by her loving sisters Willodean Owens of Huntington, Maryland and her husband Bob, and Kathleen Aldridge of Cordova, Alabama and her husband Leon; a brother J. N. Campbell of Stockbridge, Georgia, and his wife Burma, a sister in law, Jean Campbell of Phoenix City, Alabama; a very close niece, Stephanie Henshaw of Novum in Madison County; four other nieces, four nephews, many great nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her loving and devoted husband of 41 years, Rudolph Virgil Prevatt, and a brother Charles S. Campbell.
A celebration of her life is planned for 11:00 am on Thursday, May 17, at Found Funeral Home in Culpeper. Pastor Eldon Hochstetler will conduct the service. The family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ben DeBoer, Chris DeBoer, James DeBoer, Robert Haught, Scott Henshaw, William Henshaw, Scott Owens and Michael Tanner.
Rachel’s sisters and brother would like to acknowledge the devotion and sacrifices made by her niece, Stephanie Henshaw, who was her guardian for the 12 years she was in the nursing home. She demonstrated her unwavering love for Rachel through the care she provided.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her name to Mountain View Nursing Home, 1776 Elly Road, Aroda, Virginia, 22709, or to a charity of your choice.
