Rachel Denise Dinsmore's Obituary
Rachel Denise Dinsmore, 66, of Rixeyville died Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at her residence. She was born April 5, 1952 in Maine to the late Edmond and Flore Laliberte Bouffard.
Rachel attended Precious Blood Catholic Church. She had a very strong religious faith. She grew up in a home where the Holy Rosary was said every night after dinner. She attended Catholic school and was taught by nuns. Her faith carried her through life and she attended Mass every Sunday. She believed in Miracles and was praying that she would be one of the Blessed. That was not to be. But now she is at peace. She is an angel keeping watch on all her loved ones who were blessed with knowing a gentle, kind and loving soul.
She is survived by two children, Christine Gillison of Culpeper, and Michael Allen Dinsmore and his wife, Kami of Pleasant View, TN; her fiancé of 40 years, William Benedict; sisters, Rose Marie Gobiel and her husband, Bob, Ruth Beaman and her husband, Frank; and brothers, Rene Bouffard and Roland Bouffard.
Additional survivors include five grandchildren, April Gillison, Darnell Gillison, Christopher Dinsmore, Makaela Dinsmore, and Scarlet Cordero; one great grandchild, Amiyah Garrett; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Bouffard; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Bouffard.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 114 E. Edmondson St., Culpeper, VA with Father Kevin Walsh officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
A reception will follow the interment at Salem Volunteer Fire Department, 13428 Scotts Mill Road, Culpeper, VA.
