Rachael Michelle Powell's Obituary
Rachael Michelle Powell, 33, of Fredericksburg, VA, passed away on June 7, 2020.
Rachael was a compassionate, loving, adventurous woman who was a mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and a friend. Loved by so many. Missed by so many. Rachael leaves behind her two small children Isaac Elijah (10) and Gabriel Isaiah (4).
Rachael attended James Monroe High School and worked for UPS Freight National Dispatch Office in Richmond, VA.
She is survived by her parents, mother, Debra L. Kerr and father, David W Powell; grandparents, Danalu Kerr (Seattle), Lt. Col. Richard A. Kerr (Scottsdale), and Velva Dew Powell (Fredericksburg); siblings, Mary-Martha and Christina Lee (Teeny) and brother, David J.; many aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins; Derek Shiner, father of Isaac and Gabriel; and many other family members and friends.
Rachael was preceded in death by her brother, Isaac; grandfather, Lewis (Wally) Powell; and uncles, Craig Godfrey, and Steve Powell.
Rachael’s family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road (Route 208), Fredericksburg. Due to the COVID-19 regulations, a mask will be required to enter the funeral home. A celebration of life service will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday June 18, 2020 at Grace Church of Fredericksburg on Heatherstone Drive, Fredericksburg, VA. Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2020 in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
