Priscilla Elizabeth Payne's Obituary
Priscilla Elizabeth Payne, 80, of Culpeper, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in Charlottesville, VA. She was born March 9, 1944, in Washington, DC to the late Cecil Eugene and Florence Lee Harper.
Priscilla was in nursing and loved caring for others, as well as animals. She was a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy and enjoyed being an amateur local historian. She grew up across the street from Fairview Cemetery and later helped have it designated as a historical site.
She is survived by three children, Patrick Shope (Missy), Mischelle Adams (Shaine), and Jennifer Parker (Chris); eight grandchildren, Alyssa (Steve), Kylie, Kenzie, Elizabeth (Mike), Rhebekah, Joshua (Stephanie), Ryan (Kaitlyn), and Gregory (Cortney); eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronnie Harper and Rex Harper (Gloria); and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Priscilla is preceded in death by one son, Mitchell Harper; and her great, great aunt, Mazie Payne.
Services will be private.
