Phyllis Wray Jenkins' Obituary
Phyllis Wray Jenkins, 71, of Culpeper died Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Novant Health UVA Health System Culpeper Medical Center. She was born March 13, 1946 in Rappahannock to the late Rufus and Alma Seale Gallihugh.
She is survived by six children, Johnny Jenkins (Edna) of Culpeper, Roy Stevens (Gladys) of Mechanicsville, Virginia “Susie” Kilby (Russell) of Rappahannock, Polly Menefee (Ricky) of Culpeper, Brenda Biggs (Larry) of Culpeper, and Mark L. Jenkins of Henrico; and ten siblings, Neece Cave (Dewey) of Syria, Mary Nicholson of Castleton, Brenda Gallihugh of Culpeper, Peggy Sue Gallihugh of Culpeper, Jean Nicholson (Bobby) of Madison, Joyce “Pumpkin” Cave (Leonard) of Madison, Wayne Gallihugh (Peggy) of Culpeper, Becky Mize (Larry) of NC, Betty “Sissy” Ayers of Orange, and Roger Gallihugh (Gerry) of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include her grandchildren, Brandon Goode, Noel Jenkins, Mark Russell Kilby, David Kilby, Hannah Kilby, Ricky Menefee, Michael Menefee, John Wayne Biggs (Paige), Shannon Biggs, Samantha Biggs, Stacey Biggs, Steven Biggs, Virginia Stevens, and Candice Stevens; and one great grandchild, Serenity Goode.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Franklin Jenkins; one son, Jamie Jenkins; one brother, Charles “Dickie” Gallihugh; and her brother, Michael Gallihugh.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
