Phillip Raymond Shupe's Obituary
Phillip Raymond Shupe, 79, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024, in Catlett, Virginia.
He was born on February 28, 1945, in Bartley, West Virginia. Phillip dedicated much of his life to his career as a Superintendent at Superior Paving, where he worked from 1976 until his retirement in 2008.
Phillip was a devout Open Door Baptist Church member in Culpeper, Virginia. His faith and the community he found there were central to his life.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Vernia Shupe; his son, Scott Shupe; his daughters, Amy Daley and Kim Shupe; along with 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren who will cherish his memory.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace Shupe and Florence Mullins-Shupe; sisters, Eunice Borkowski and Susie Smith; his daughter, Stephanie Allison; his son, Dwayne Shupe; and grandsons, Matthew Johnston and William Jenkinson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Rd., Fredericksburg. A funeral service will take place at 11 am on Saturday, November 2, 2024 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
