I just learned of Colonel Adair's passing. My sincerest condolences to his family. I have fond memories of him helping me try to get my 1939 Packard Coupe to run properly around 2007 when I was living in Fredericksburg. In 2008, I had my Packard partially restored and proudly drove it to his house for him to take a look. In later years, I chatted with him at occasional antique auto events. He was a very pleasant and kind man, generously giving me his time and expert advice. He was a great hero and clearly lived a full and productive life.
