Peter Foerster Jr.'s Obituary
Pete Foerster, 57, passed away on December 12, 2023 at his home in Fredericksburg, VA.
He was born on September 14, 1966 in Queens, NY to Peter Maria Joseph Foerster, Sr. and Bernice (Lowe) Foerster.
Pete worked for 30 years as a communications engineer at Cox Communications, retiring at age 55. Pete enjoyed driving around in his 2006 convertible Mustang wearing his famous cowboy hat. He loved cruising, Carnival being his favorite cruise line. Pete faithfully attended church every Sunday at Lifepoint Church, Fredericksburg Campus where he would worship loud and proud. His million-dollar smile and his famous cowboy hat was known everywhere, he was even declared Mayor Pete by his many friends. He would always try to make someone smile, his energy was endless, well before 10pm at least. He had a great passion for music and dreamed of starting a sound company. He was loved and adored by hundreds, including his family and friends.
Pete is survived by his loving daughters, Samantha Lynn Foerster (Noah Cunningham), and Kalli McKenna; his beloved mother, Bernice (Bonnie) Foerster; his loving fiancée, Paula Epperson; and his sister, Vicky (Joe). We would also like to acknowledge JC and Wilma Cunningham for their role in caring for Samantha as their own daughter.
He was preceded in death by his father, Peter Maria Joseph Foerster, Sr.
A celebration of Pete’s life had to be canceled, and will be announced at a later date.
