Pete Al Woolfrey Sr.'s Obituary
After a battle with cancer, Pete slipped into the arms of his Lord on Sunday, February 7, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 29, 1950 in Woodbridge, he was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Gertrude; and three sisters, Deloris, Ruby and Sharon.
Pete was the consummate “trash” man, always serving his customers with pride and dedication which spanned for more than 50 years. He owned his own business, Woolfrey Brothers Trash Service, Inc. for 25 of those years. He sold his business in 1996 to Charlie and Son Trash Service, Inc. were he continued to work till he retired. He was well respected and admired by his fellow employees and customers alike, always going the extra mile to help people.
Pete leaves behind his two children, Crystal (Eric) of Fredericksburg and Pete Jr. (Jamie) of Dumfries; and seven grandchildren, Alex, Anthony, Jennifer, Pete III, Autumn, Grace and Sean. He also leaves brothers, Cliff, Tommy, Charlie, Johnny, and Lee; and sisters, Francis, Millie, Kitty, and Barbara Ann. Also leaving many brothers/sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him and considered him like a brother and dad.
Pete’s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2016 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
