Peggy Ann Somers Mitschke
Peggy Ann Somers Mitschke, 79, formerly of Culpeper, died Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Dogwood Village of Orange. She was born December 4, 1932 in Culpeper to the late Cletus Homer and Frances Tutwiler Somers.
Mrs. Mitschke was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 163 in Melbourne, FL and attended St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Culpeper.
She is survived by three children, Cheryl Jolliffe of Gainesville, VA, Peggy Elaine Calhoun and her husband, Thomas Jr. of Centreville, and Robert F.R. Numan of Sterling, two siblings, C.H. Somers, Jr. and Robert Page Somers, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous other family and extended family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Mitschke, one brother, Kenneth Kelly Somers and one son-in-law, Michael Jolliffe.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 2 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Kate Costa officiating.
