Peggy Lee Dodson's Obituary
Peggy Lee Dodson,81, of Luray, Virginia, formerly of Culpeper, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023 at her daughter’s home. She was born December 24, 1942 in Charlottesville to the late Edward Athey Atkins and Cedelmer Mae Jones Atkins.
Peggy worked as a seamstress at Arrington Cleaners for many years. She was a member at The Luray Pentecostal Church in Luray and was very devoted to her church family.
Peggy is survived by her five children, Pamela Jean Knight (Thomas), Patricia Ann Moore (Greg), Jerry Lynn Frazier (Anita), Florence Renee Dodson, and Stanley Ray Dodson, Jr.; twin sister, Dorothy Ann Mee; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Juanita Woodward.
In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Ray Dodson and her sister, Betty Jean Settle.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A graveside service will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia with Pastor Danny Herring officiating.
Pallbearers serving the family will be Thomas Knight, Wesley Stanley, 1SG Thomas Settle, Jr., Greg Weaver, Branson Stanley, and Trey Settle.
