Pearl Brown Sembower's Obituary
Pearl Brown Sembower, 91, died April 18, 2023 in Walkersville, MD. She was born December 23,1931 in Rappahannock, VA to the late Bernice Samuel Newcomer and Josie Deco (Whorton) Newcomer.
Pearl loved spending time with family, friends, and pets. She was a devout member of the Amissville Full Gospel Church. She adored children and found great joy in teaching children’s Sunday school throughout her life. Pearl never missed an opportunity to share her faith with others. She read the Bible every day and was proud of having read it cover to cover over 60 times.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Holden Sembower; and sister, Essie Mae Newcomer.
She is survived by her stepmother, Elizabeth Newcomer; sister, Darlene Bittinger; two nieces, Sabrina Bittinger (Kimberly Burdge), Ashley (Zachary) Gadwaw; nephew, Anthony Bittinger, Jr; her little dog, Precious, and many other extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Home, 850 Sperryville Pike Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor J.T. Pittman II officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 822 Sperryville Pike Culpeper, VA 22701.
