Pearl Harbour Royal's Obituary
Pearl Harbour Royal, 74, of Fredericksburg passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Mary Washington Hospital.
She was born in Dobson, North Carolina to the late Escar and Elsie Harbour.
Pearl graduated from Level Cross High School in 1954 and continued her education, graduating from the Medical College of Virginia in 1958. She went to the School of Pharmacy and became a registered pharmacist, practicing at People’s Pharmacy and various independent pharmacies.
She is survived by husband of 50 years, James M. Royal; a daughter, Kimberly Roederer and her husband, Eric of Ruther Glen; a son, Tyrus Royal and his wife, Mary Therese of Fairfield, Connecticut and a granddaughter, Haley Royal.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mattie Sue Key and a brother, Wade Harbour.
Pearl’s family will receive friends Sunday, July 25, 2010 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg.
A funeral service will be held Monday, July 26, 2010 at 11:00 am in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Jack Marcom officiating. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, Pearl’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to an American Cancer Society of your choice.
