Pearl Jennings
Pearl Morgan Decatur Jennings, 94, of Fredericksburg, passed to her eternal home in heaven Friday, August 15, 2008.
Mrs. Jennings was born at home in White Oak on February 19, 1914 to the late Frederick and Catherine Morgan. She was one of 20 children, which there were four sets of twins.
She was a member of Canaan’s Faith Church of God in Falmouth. Pearl had worked as a fabric cutter at G & H Manufacturing Company for many years.
She was the widow of George W. Jennings, Jr., married for 44 years.
Mrs. Jennings is survived by a son, R. Norman Decatur of Dahlgren; a step-son, George L. “Butch” Jennings of Cordova, TN; three grandchildren, Cherie Hitt of VA and David Davis and Josh Jennings of TN; several great-grandchildren and two brothers, Jefferson “Donald” and Cornelius “Eli” Morgan.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 20, 2008 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels ~ Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 11:00 am at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Timothy Dodson of Canaan’s Faith Church of God officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Spotsylvania.
