Pauline Bilodeau's Obituary
Pauline (Hebert) Bilodeau, 94, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Bickford of Spotsylvania.
She was born and raised in Fall River, MA. After graduation from Jesus Mary Academy in Fall River, she graduated from Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene in Boston, Massachusetts.
Pauline was a devoted wife and mother. She was a woman of faith to all who knew her and was especially devoted to the rosary and the Blessed Mother. Pauline enjoyed planning family gatherings and providing hospitality. She was an excellent cook and no matter who you were, she made you feel welcome. Like her mother before her, she very much enjoyed playing Bridge. She always loved to have Bridge Parties with ladies in the neighborhood.
She is survived by her children, Denis Bilodeau (Tracey), Richard Bilodeau (Danielle), Donald Bilodeau (Rosemary), Diane Barton (John), Thomas Bilodeau (Stephanie), and Anne Marie Header (Tim); 17 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of more than 61 years, Alvin Bilodeau and her brothers, Ernest, Edgar and Rene Hebert, who was killed in the D-Day invasion in World War II at the age of 19.
Pauline’s family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 10719 Courthouse Rd., Fredericksburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 9600 Caritas St., Fredericksburg. Interment will follow at a later date at Quantico National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Catholic Church, 9600 Caritas Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22408.
