Paul F. Reisch's Obituary
Paul Franklin Reisch, 82, of the Oaks of Wellington in Manassas, formerly of Dale City and Harrisburg, PA, passed away on Thursday August 5, 2010 at the Manassas Health and Rehab Center. Paul was born in Sparrow’s Point, Md on June 18, 1928 to the late John H., and Caroline E. Reisch. Paul joined the Navy after high school, served his country thru the Korean conflict and was stationed in Japan, the Philippines and Alaska. He retired from active duty in 1966 after 21 yrs of honorable service. He continued to serve his country by working at the White House for over 12 yrs. He again retired in 1978. He then went to work for INOVA Fairfax Hospital.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife Rose A Reisch and six siblings. He is survived by his daughters, Karen Cockrell of Ga. and Meryl Louise Hopkins of Ca; his sister Sandra K. Sainz of Wy, and his niece Jacqueline A Rupp of PA. Also surviving Paul are his dearest friends Peggy Bassett and Kay Bouldin, both of Manassas, and Marge and Steve Patronie of Pa. Paul’s large family also included several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday, August 13th at the Found & Sons Lee Funeral Chapel, 8521 Sudley Rd, Manassas, VA 20109, telephone number 703-368-9800, with viewing one hour prior to the service. Graveside services with full military honors will be 10 AM on Wednesday, September 22nd at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations in Paul’s honor can be made to Medi Home Health and Hospice, 9625 Surveyor Court, Suite 230, Manassas, VA 20110-4422.
