Paul Frederick Pegelow's Obituary
Paul Frederick Pegelow, 81, of Etlan, Virginia died unexpectedly at his home on January 24, 2016.
Paul is survived by his wife, Ginny; son, Tad (Lori) Pegelow, of Montross, VA; and daughter, Jill (Michael) Armm, of Culpeper, VA. He leaves behind four grandchildren, Rachel Pegelow, Sam Armm, Paul S. Pegelow and Mollie Armm. He is also survived by his sister, Mary P. Ball; his brother, Donald R. Pegelow; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was born in Alexandria, Virginia on March 13, 1934 to the late Paul F. Pegelow, Sr. and Mary Shepherd Pegelow. He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School, and served four years in the U.S. Coast Guard before spending 30 years as a manufacturers’ sales representative.
Paul spent his retirement years hunting, working in the garden and spending time in his work shop. He was devoted to his family and friends who will always remember him for his generous nature, humor, and his ability to build or fix anything. He and Ginny were fortunate to spend 54 years together.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel.
Inurnment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors provided by Culpeper VFW Post 2524.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to Virginia Veteran and Family Support, 900 East Main Street, 6th Floor West Wing, Richmond, Virginia 23219 &/or the Madison County Rescue Squad, PO Box 868, Madison, VA 22727.
