Paul E. Kessler Sr.'s Obituary
Paul Eugene Kessler, Sr., 81, of Selma, NC, formally of Fredericksburg passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 in Raleigh, NC.
Paul loved working with his hands. He enjoyed wood working and making custom rings for his family and friends.
Paul was a kind and caring man who loved to joke around and was always available to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed shooting his guns, playing cards with friends, and watching UFC fights and boxing.
Paul is survived by his wife of 27 years, Roberta Kessler of Selma, NC; his children, Cindy Johnson (Robert) of Ruther Glen, Merle Kessler (Regina) of the home, Debra “Debbie” Millirons (John Jr.) of Rogersville, TN, Paulene Kessler (Rusty Tolson) of Stafford County, and Ryan Kessler, Paul Kessler (Danielle Chavez), and Kelsi Kessler, all of the home; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, John Kessler of Necopeck, PA; sisters, Judy Beatty (Bill), Jean Roberts, and Patty Kessler, all of Indiana, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ann and Merle Kessler; two brothers, Dale and Rick Kessler; and two grandchildren, David and Michael Kessler.
Paul’s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Paul’s family requests that expressions take the form of donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
