Patsy Josephine Woodward's Obituary
Patsy Josephine Pullen Woodward, 74, of Rixeyville, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at UVA Culpeper Hospital. She was born July 6, 1948 in Culpeper County to the late Charlie David Pullen and Viola Weaver Settle Pullen.
Patsy loved playing Bingo, a good round of card games, going out to eat, bragging on her grandkids, listening to bluegrass music, being around people, and attending church when she was able too. Above all, her family was her greatest joy.
She is survived by her children, son, Gary S. Woodward (Deann); and daughters, Patsy Elaine Cropp (William F. Cropp, II) and Sandra A. Woodward (Kevin Graves); six grandchildren, Amanda Brooks, Matthew Cropp, Miranda Cropp (Kyler), Gary S. Woodward, Jr., Kayla Jenkins (Johnny) and Kimberly Ketchem (Kurt); and three great-grandchildren, Autumn, Logan, and Braxton.
She was always proud to come from a large family of 14 to include five sisters, Ruth Lois Nicholson (Sam), Peggy Renninger, Nancy V. Pullen, Emma V. Pullen and Margaret M. Compton (David); seven brothers, Charles F. Pullen (Judy), William S. Pullen, Thomas H. Pullen (Pat), David A. Pullen (Jeannie), Kenneth C. Pullen, Jimmy E. Pullen (Teresa) and Chris L. Pullen (Paula); and a special brother and sister-in-law, Randolph and Sue Woodward.
In addition to her parents, Patsy is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry Spillman Woodward; brother, Walter Raymond Pullen; and sister-in-law, Shirley Settle.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Lee Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Woodward Family Cemetery, 7292 Woodward Lane, Rixeyville VA. Pallbearers will be Matthew Cropp, Gary Woodward, Jr., Kyler Doss, and Kurt Jenkins.
