Patrick Joseph Downey
Patrick Joseph Downey, age 58, passed away on October 1, 2009. Born in Washington D.C. he was a graduate of Gonzaga High School in Washington D.C. and St .Louis University.
He was employed by the Red Top Cab company in Arlington, VA where he received numerous awards from the cab company as well the STAR driver of the year award from Arlington County for his service to the senior citizens community. In addition he received special recognition from the Arlington Tourism Board for the positive image of the county that he helped project.
In his spare time, Mr. Downey traveled to numerous locations around the world, explored computer flight simulation, astronomy and gardening
Survivors include two brothers, John Downey and wife, Virginia of Nokesville, VA and Jim Downey and wife, Patricia of Warrenton, VA; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
