Patricia Catherine Pash's Obituary
Patricia C. Pash, 95, of Fredericksburg, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017.
Patricia Catherine Lowrey was born on December 14, 1921 in Kearney, New Jersey. On October 18, 1941, she married Maj. John M. Jagoda, whom she was married to for 25 years. Together they traveled with the Marine Corps Pistol Team, compiling world records and Olympic and Pan Am medals. Pat won the Wahini Championship (Military Wives) in Hawaii while they were stationed there. After retirement, Pat and John started All American Sports Awards in Stafford.
She later married Dr. John W. Pash, DDS of Woodbridge. They were married for five years.
Pat and her Daughter, Trish, moved to Fredericksburg in 1972. She was the proud owner of “Pat’s Shoppe”, an antiques shop, on William Street from 1972 to 2005. Due to a car accident, Pat was forced to retire.
She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the National Council of Catholic Women. Pat was a den mother and leader with Girl Scouts and a Red Cross Volunteer. She was especially proud of her work with Therapy Dog International which she was a member of for 7 years. Pat loved her own black Labrador retriever, Bridget, like she loved her children.
Pat is survived by her two children, John M. Jagoda, Jr. and Patricia L. Jagoda, a niece, Patty Waldov and her husband, Richard, of New Jersey, and a daughter-in-law, Diana Jagoda.
A memorial mass will be held in her honor at 1 pm on Monday, October 30, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1009 Stafford Ave, Fredericksburg.
