Patricia Lou Lanning's Obituary
Patricia Lou Lanning (70) met Jesus face to face on May 17, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Born September 20, 1952, to Charles and Gladys Burch, Patricia, known to those who knew her as Patti, grew up in Fairfax and eventually settled in Culpeper, Virginia. There she lived with the man she loved for the last 16 years, John D. Wenzel. Patti never met a stranger and had more friends than she could count. She had a heart for everyone that crossed her path. She will be missed tremendously, but we take comfort in knowing that she is in Heaven with those who went before her.
She is survived by her three daughters, Victoria R. Jenkins (husband Marvin Jenkins), Nichole R. Rhinehart (husband Billy Rhinehart) and Melissa Feather (husband Ron “Boots” Feather); six grandchildren, Amanda N. Giovannini (31), Rachael L. Brooks (27), Brooke N. Rhinehart (21), Avery L. Rhinehart (16), Makenzie L. Feather (20) and Gaige R. Feather (17); and great-grandchildren, Nico G. Giovannini (5) and Winston C. Brooks (1).
Patti is also survived by her two siblings, Judi Windingland of Warrenton, Virginia and Jim Burch of Cape Coral, Florida, as well as numerous, well-loved, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Charles and Gladys Burch; her siblings, Cathy Burch and Ginny Rider; as well as her great-nephew, Evan Sparks.
We will celebrate her life with her family and friends at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Feather Lake Farm located at 19490 Hickory Drive, Culpeper, Virginia. All are welcome!
