Patricia J. Booth's Obituary
Patricia J. Booth passed away peacefully with her family and loved ones by her side.
Patricia Lynn Booth was called home to our Lord on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022. She was born in Danville, VA, on January 31st, 1954, to Percy and Nancy James. Patricia, otherwise known as Nana, touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her Godliness captivated everyone, everywhere. She served selflessly and loved unconditionally. If you knew her, then you knew love and felt that love from her smile, infectious laugh, and warm embraces. Nana Pat didn’t know a stranger, only friends; and eventually, everyone who met her wanted to adopt her as their “Nana”.
Patricia married Jesse R. Booth on December 3, 1971, celebrating 51 years of marriage this year. Together, they raised three beautiful children: Kim Allen, Melissa Buhle and Jason Booth. They have eight wonderful grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Pat was extremely dedicated to her family, and prided herself on the family she built, the love she had for all of them, and the strength she instilled in them.
Pat served as the pastoral administrator and women’s minister at Zoan Baptist Church, but her walk and service to Christ began long before then. For decades, she served alongside her husband in every church he pastored working as the church decorator, youth minister, Sunday school teacher, children’s church leader, ladies minister, and fill-in-pastor. She took pleasure in delivering the Word of God and allowing herself to be used by the Holy Spirit. She is shouting on the hills of Glory, walking along the streets of gold, and singing Heavenly praises to our Lord and Savior.
Patricia Lynn Booth is preceded in death by her father, Percy and her Aunt Diane. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Pastor Jesse Booth; mother, Nancy James; brother, Ricky James; Daughter, Kim Allen and her husband David; Daughter, Melissa Buhle and her husband Derick; Son, Jason Booth and his wife Megan. Her grandchildren; Kallie Pultz and her husband Jeremy, Dylan Allen, Jessica Buhle, Andrew Buhle, Danika Allen, Preston Booth, Eden Booth, and Judah Booth, and her great-granddaughter, Charlotte Pultz.
She will forever be missed, but her legacy lives strong through the many lives she impacted. May you remember that God is always faithful in the good times and the bad times.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2022, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Zoan Baptist Church. Her family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Vision of Grace c/o Zoan Baptist Church, 5888 Plank Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22407.
