Ova June Mullins
Ova June Mullins, age 89, passed away on Friday July 10, 2009 at her home in Strasburg, VA.
Ova was a charter member of Hope Free Will Baptist Church of Front Royal, was a former member of Meadow Brook Free Will Baptist Church, Middletown and former member of Hope Free Will Baptist Church, Pound.
Ova was preceded in death by her first husband George Chester Stanley and her 2nd husband Thurman A. Mullins, her parents Ora and Elzie Cantrell , a sister, Cotella Boggs.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Ann Stidhan, husband Roy of Manassas, VA, Ina Jean Dotson of Strasburg, VA, and Josephine Stanley Adams, husband Willie of Strasburg,Va; one son, George Russell Stanley, wife Sharon of Manassas, VA; one sister, Pauline Holliday of Zenia, OH, five brothers, Newton Cantrell, wife Murial of Pound, VA , William Lyn Cantrell of Pound, VA; Ronnie Cantrell, wife Mary Lois of Zenia, OH; Richard Cantrell, wife Sandy of Jamestown, OH, and Tobby Carl Cantrell, wife Kay of Luray, VA; nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Also preceded in death by one stepson, Jerry Mullins and other survivors inculde
nine stepchildren, Acie A. “Mickey” Mullins, wife Star, Jonah Mullins, wife Barbara, Marlene Swanson, husband Ricky, Rebecca Boggs, husband Cleatus, Shirley Fleming , husband Mitchell, Judy Dingus, husband Randy, Thurman A. Mullins, Jr., wife Rhonda, Martha Kiser, husband Bobby, Tony Mullins, wife Tina. Other survivors include two step grandchildren, Eddie Mullins, wife Lou , Prezada Adams, husband Timmy, twenty six step grandchildren, thirty eight step great grand children, and eight great – great step grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Sunday July 12, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 pm with a 8:00 pm funeral service at Found and Sons Lee Funeral Chapel, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20109 with Pastor Lester Horton and Pastor Randy Hayes officiating.
Interment at Stanley Cemetery, Clintwood, VA
