Ollie Olive's Obituary
Ollie Oliver Olive, 74 of Stafford County, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Ollie was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4123, had retired from the Federal Government NSWC Dahlgren after 26 years of service, served in the National Guard and was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of five years, Polly Olive; his son Francis Bennett Olive and his best friend Trina Erwin of Spotsylvania; two grandsons, John Taylor Olive and Samuel Thomas Olive; a niece, Carol Ann Gulick and a nephew, Cliff Payne and many other great nieces and nephews.
Ollie was preceded in death by his first wife Crystal H. Olive; his parents, Aubin and Bertha Olive and his sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and Murlie Pates.
Pallbearers will be James Clarke, Dale Craig, Butch Williams, Greg Harding, Cliff Payne and Maurice Burton.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Taylor Olive and Samuel Thomas Olive.
Ollie's family will receive friends Friday, May 15, 2009 from 9:30-11:00 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels – Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service celebrating Ollie's life will follow at 11:00 am with the Rev. Carroll Markham and Rev. M. Paul Curry officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
