Olive Knotts Hughes' Obituary
Olive “Oli” Knotts Hughes, 88, of Rixeyville, formerly of Richmond, passed away on June 28, 2020 in Culpeper. She was born May 8, 1932 in Nottoway County, Virginia to the late Albert Ray Knotts and Ruth Naugle Knotts.
Mrs. Hughes worked in the payroll department of several Richmond businesses. She was a member of Ramsey United Methodist Church in Richmond.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Leonard Cecil Hughes; three sons, Lawrence Hughes, Kenneth Hughes (Betsy) and Norman Hughes (Diane); four grandchildren, Dustin Knotts, Jason Knotts (Romanayah), Kristen Anderson (Scott) and Nathan Knotts; sister, Millie Matthews; sister-in-law, Mable Knotts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Albert Ray Knotts, Jr.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery, 501 East Chandler Street with Pastor Baker Rigg officiating.
