Norma May Morris Hall, 87, of Spotsylvania died Tuesday, December 25, 2007, in Monroe, North Carolina.
She was born in Mammoth, West Virginia on December 23, 1920 and was a resident of Spotsylvania for 34 years. During WWII, she was a Class A welder in the Wilmington, Delaware shipyards. After the war, she married Paul W. Hall and spent her beautiful life raising her children. She was the pianist for churches in West Virginia and Virginia since she was 16 years old. She was the pianist at Olivet United Methodist Church in Spotsylvania for 29 years. She loved gardening, feeding hummingbirds, and watching baseball. She especially loved her family and brought happiness, wisdom, and love to all who knew her.
Norma was the widow of Paul W. Hall, Sr. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene “Doc” Morris and mother, Yula Faye Morris; 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Survivors include her three children, Carolyn Miller and husband, Lloyd of Spotsylvania; Linda Hodges and husband, Herman of Unionville, NC; and Paul W. “Billy” Hall, Jr. and wife, Kathy, of Forney, TX. She is survived by 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 5 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
