Nina Virginia Parker's Obituary
Nina Virginia Parker, 83, of Amissville died Saturday, January 03, 2015 at Fauquier Health, Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Warrenton. She was born December 23, 1931 in Rappahannock County to the late Silas Settle and the late Carrie Settle.
Mrs. Parker is survived by three children: Elmer Parker, Gwen Parker and Ronald Parker and his wife, Bonnie, all of Amissville. Additional survivors include two grandchildren: April Hight and her husband Johnnie of Lignum: and Kelsey Parker, and one great-grandchild, Skylar Hight. She is also survived by a sister, Marie Brown of Culpeper. She is also survived by her sister in law Virginia Rowland.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years , George Franklin Parker, three sisters: Ella Rutherford, Myrtle Settle and Janie Settle, and six brothers: Albert, Jim, John, Charlie, Otis and Grover Settle.
Pallbearers will be Bill Settle, Bob Settle, Carroll Ray Settle, Johnnie Hight, Tim Norman, and James Grigsby. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Compton and Bud Corder.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia. Rev. John Burke and David Clanagan will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Washington Masonic Cemetery in Rappahannock County.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 147, Amissville, Virginia 20106.
