Nina Lucille Christian's Obituary
Nina Lucille Christian, 88, of Culpeper went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community. She was born April 11, 1924 in Ty Ty, GA to the late Otis and Della Brooks Lamb.
Mrs. Christian was an active member of Hospice of the Rapidan for 5 years and was named volunteer of the year in 1995. She also volunteered at Culpeper Regional Hospital for 12 years.
She is survived by her children, Brenda Johnson and her husband, Bob of Culpeper, Linda Higgins and her husband, Robert of Richmond, Joan Hoy of Woodbridge, Kathrine Cacamis and her husband, Mark of Richmond and Gene Weldon and his wife, Rumpai of Fairfax, one brother, Alfred W. Lamb of GA, nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Weldon, her second husband, Jack Christian, two sisters, Alice Peavy and Clidie Statham, and one brother, Alfred W. Lamb.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 1 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Rev. Robert Higgins officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
