Nelson Page French's Obituary
Nelson Page French, 94, of Culpeper, died Monday, August 16, 2021 at Novant Health UVA Culpeper Hospital. He was born December 5, 1926 in Harrisonburg to the late AlBurton and Arlene French.
Nelson was a veteran of the Marines, who served in World War II. He worked for 9 years at Southern Railways and retired from Rochester after more than 25 years. He enjoyed playing golf and gardening.
Nelson is survived by his wife of 70 years, Dorothy French; one son, Kevin French and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Herbert W. French.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Rev. Phillip Walker officiating.
