Nelson "Piggy Boy" Cottoms Jr's Obituary
Nelson Cottoms, Jr., 65, of Culpeper, VA, died on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at his residence. He was born January 11, 1954, in Charlottesville, VA to the late Nelson and Georgia Cottoms.
Mr. Cottoms attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Culpeper. He was well known in Culpeper County as a fun loving and kind man. He enjoyed watching the Redskins and his Westerns. Mr. Cottoms loved being around his friends and family, including his nieces and nephews. He loved having a good time. He was very neat and organized. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by one brother; Russell Cottoms, two sisters; Deloris Williams (Robert) and Anna Christine Smith (Ron), two uncles; David Minor, Sr. and Roger Carter, and special friends; Lynn, Ann, and Evelyn.
Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In additional to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters; Peggy Washington and Rose Cottoms, and one brother, Bobby Cottoms.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 12 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Bishop Wayne Carpenter officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 822 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
