To Nell's family, it was with much sorrow when I heard of Nell's death, however, I know where she is and with whom she's celebrating her new eternal life with.
My favorite memory of Nell is when we were both teenagers and sitting on Aunt Shirley's porch challenging one another to see who could eat the most spring onions. Both of us put down quite a few but I think Nell ate several more than I. Bottom line is, when speaking to someone, none wanted us to get very close to them because our breath was so strong it would burn their nose and eyes lol God bless my favorite cousin, we'll see one another again, Love you girl!

This past weekend while going through some boxed-pictures, we came across copies of the Knight family photos Nell & Aunt Shirley gave us 20 plus years ago. For several years after we kept in touch through greeting cards, becoming disconnected with the passage of time. But we've thought often of Nell throughout those years, and now with her passing the sentimentality of these 'The Way We Were' 1974 lyrics: "Scattered pictures of the smiles we left behind/Smiles we gave to one another for the way we were" holds a much deeper emotional value beyond just a numerous collection of aide-memoire from our ancestry research. And although we're sad of her passing, we know that her family feel even more devastated. So we share these memories, as well as our thoughts and prayers to them all for their loss of Nell. {RIP}.
