Neil Michael O'Heir's Obituary
Neil Michael O'Heir, 67, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026. Born on January 31, 1959, in Holyoke, MA, he was the beloved son of the late James and Claire O'Heir.
He was a devoted husband, family man, and friend whose greatest joy in life was spending time with those he loved most. Whether enjoying family trips, traveling to new places, or sharing a wonderful meal together, Neil created countless memories that will forever be treasured by his family and friends.
Neil was a graduate of Providence College in Rhode Island. He had a passion for fine dining and hospitality, a passion that became his life's work during his remarkable 34-year career as Dining Manager at The Inn at Little Washington. Through his dedication, professionalism, and warm personality, Neil made lasting impressions on guests and colleagues alike.
A loyal sports fan, Neil could often be found cheering on his beloved Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins. His enthusiasm for his teams was only matched by his love for sharing laughter, stories, and special moments with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Neil was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Robert Munns.
Neil leaves behind his loving wife of 34 years, Bernadette; his five sons, Michael O'Heir (Jacqline), Conor O'Heir (Allie), Shane O'Heir, Christopher O'Heir, and Martin O'Heir; grandchildren Norah and Mara; his sister, Debbie Munns, along with many cherished family members, dear friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
His kindness, generosity, devotion to family, and love for life will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 5-7 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. Rosary will begin at 5:30 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church, 12762 Lee Hwy., Washington, VA, Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 11 am with Fr. Beres officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Peter Catholic Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael O'Heir, Conor O'Heir, Shane O'Heir, Christopher O'Heir, Martin O'Heir, and Kent Wager.
