Neil M. Hicks' Obituary
Neil M. Hicks, 88, of Culpeper died Thursday, May 12, 2016 at UVA Culpeper Hospital. He was born September 9, 1927 in Frankton, IN to the late Chester and Ida Miller Hicks.
Mr. Hicks was a veteran of the US Army and served his country during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Warrenton Lions Club for over 40 years. He received the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award for outstanding service to the community.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy M. Hicks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Chester “Bud” A. Hicks, Jr.
Interment will be private for the family followed by a memorial service on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at Culpeper Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 318 S. West St. Culpeper, VA with Pastor Dan Carlton officiating. Military honors will be provided by Culpeper VFW Post 2524.
