Nathaniel Alan Denniston's Obituary
Nathaniel was born on March 3, 2006, in Fredericksburg to Kevin and Anna Denniston.
Nathaniel will be remembered for his gentle spirit, kind heart, and the quiet goodness he brought into the lives of those around him. He was truly one of the sweetest souls, with a heart of gold that touched everyone who knew him. Nathaniel had a special way of making others feel seen, valued, and cared for. His warmth, compassion, and genuine kindness were gifts to his family, friends, and community. More than anything, Nathaniel loved his family and friends deeply. He was loyal, caring, and protective, always willing to show up for the people who mattered to him.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved basketball and especially enjoyed watching Steph Curry play for the Golden State Warriors. He also loved collecting shoes, especially Jordan Brand sneakers, and took pride in building his collection. These interests brought him happiness and reflected his youthful energy and enthusiasm for life.
Though Nathaniel’s life was far too short, the love he shared and the memories he created will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him. His absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his legacy of love, kindness, and goodness will continue to live on.
Nathaniel was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Anna Denniston, in 2016, and by his maternal grandfather, Gary Stevens.
He is survived by his father, Kevin Denniston; his siblings, Abigail Denniston and Jacob Denniston; his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Sue Denniston; his maternal grandmother, Gail Stevens; his many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who loved and adored him: and his fiancée, Ruby Spurlock.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5600 Smith Station Road, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22407.
