Nathan Lynn Blackwell's Obituary
Nathan Lynn Blackwell, 90, of Fredericksburg passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, October 16, 2018.
Nathan retired from the United States Army after 23 years of honorable service to his country. After retiring, he then worked at the unemployment commission for the state of Ohio for approximately 15 years.
He is survived by three children, Rebecca Blackwell, James Blackwell (Kim), and Tiffany Michelli–Lehman; six grandsons; and six great-grandchildren.
Nathan was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Blackwell.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road Fredericksburg. Burial will take place at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made in his honor to either the Fredericksburg Volunteer Rescue Squad, 510 William Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22401 or Mary Washington Hospice, 2300 Fall Hill Avenue # 401, Fredericksburg VA 22401.
